Yamaha B3 Pianos

The introduction of the Yamaha b3 to the b Series range sees it approach professional standards whilst remaining true to the b Series’ design philosophy of value and affordability. The b3 out performs pianos costing a great deal more by incorporating Yamaha’s traditional values as well as benefiting from the latest production techniques.

b3’s powerful yet articulate characteristics are produced by a larger frame and soundboard and higher grade hammers coupled to a proven, high specification action design. For the more serious pianist, b3 is the perfect combination of performance and affordability.

Power and Precision

The new Yamaha b3 enjoys the additional strength and performance benefits of five back posts supporting a specially designed soundboard, engineered for optimum tone and finished in top quality spruce. Lacquered for enhanced high-end clarity, the b3 soundboard is designed to offer optimum tonal characteristics within a cost-effective and stable structure.

Peace and harmony

All b Series pianos are available equipped with Yamaha’s unique Silent Piano™ technology. It offers the incomparable tone, touch and beauty of a fine traditional piano, along with all the added advantages of a superb digital piano that can be played through headphones for effectively silent practice.

With a Silent Piano you can play while others read, converse, listen to recorded music or watch TV, right in the same room. A second headphone socket is provided to assist teachers.

In quiet mode, contact-free optical sensors translate every nuance of your playing style, including pedal movements, and re-create the sound of a perfectly recorded Yamaha grand piano under your total control. Natural touch is preserved completely.
